Units larger than 48" door size will arrive with the frames and/ or the bookcases detached from their openings. The three reasons

we ship large units detached:

1) Easier to ship / fewer damages

2) Easier to handle when the order arrives

3) So that you are able to get the unit into your home without obstructions
